Unemployment and depression

I have a case of depression and I am not sure what or who to turn to. I do have insurance, I lost it when I was laid off in Dec 2008. It is so hard to get through each day. I can not sleep, I have very bad mood swings and I have gained weight. I feel so hopeless and lost. Is there any where I can go go help. I live in Henderson Nv. Thank you for your time

Hi Susan,

You give scant detail of the problem but you do say it is depression so I assume you were diagnosed by a doc and had some sort of treatment in the past. If that is the case then that is the path to follow again if it helped.

Regardless of having insurance or not the way to deal with this is either see a doc or do some form of therapy. Cognitive

Behaviour Therapy normally requires a therapist but their role is mainly to keep you on target and they do not generally lead or suggest as such. SO you could research that on line and get books on it.
