borderline personality disorder could be another option.

Due to the safety concerns it would be advisable to have her see a psychiatrist, who can diagnose her.  Another option could be to have her sectioned or committed involuntarily (if she refuses help).

Talk to her but be gentle as she is likely hurting but is desperate for support.
If the episodes are psychotic then she wont have much of a grasp of what is going on.

Make sure you get her urgent support.  You could always speak to your family doctor or your local mental health service for advice if need be.

Dude, i really think that she is Bipolar or she has been hurt in the past and she doesnt know how to espress it. see if something happened to her that she feels dirty, or unworthy. on her calm moments try to talk to her.

Hi i  am sorry this is happening to you. Firstly i think she needs to see a doctor, they will be able to help with diagnoses and treatment as well the threatening behavior. That kind of behavior is not ok. Will she see a doctor if you your parents suggest it? If you get her to see a local doctor and then they might refer her to a psychiatrist and psychologist. Secondly if she will not go i strongly suggest you tell a doctor/ or the police about this behavior as i want you to be safe. Do you live at home with a parent? if you do tel them whats been going on and get them to help get your sister to get the help she needs.

Hope this is some what helpful
Best of luck
