only on Abilify ?

I was diagnosed with Depression with psychotic features, not any Bipolar disorder

Anyway I was on Prozac with Wellbutrin, then had a relapse and they took me off both and started me on Abilfy only. Is this a normal procedure or should I also be on some low dose antidepressant in your opinion ? Thank you very much for your time.

Hi,

I am diagnosed with depression and anxiety both and am on prozac, neurontin and
abilify.  The abilify does help with my depression but I dont think it would be enough
all alone without the antidepressant.  Maybe you should look into a different
antidepressant.  I know mine poop out every 4 years and I have to switch but
so far something else has always worked.

Have you posted this on the expert forum? A doctor would be the best person to ask.

I think Abilify tends to help with psychotic features. When I started on antidepressants my doctor gave me abilify to give me relief from my depression/psychotic features while I waited for the antidepressant to work. It seemed like a quick fix but I was never interested in long-term use because of the side effects.
