What is Symbyax?

Can anyone tell me what Symbyax is and what effects it has on you?  I have been on disability for two years and the insurance company video taped me pushing a grocery cart and lifting a bag of potatoes and canceled my policy.  I had no restrictions.  Long story short, I am in chronic pain and on heavy pain meds so my doc took me out of work Right now I have ZERO income and happen to have a dr's appointment today and when I saw my PCP I broke down.  He gave me samples of this Symbyax.

Thanks mammo.  His office is pretty good at giving samples away but it does bother me in a way  when you say It normally isn't prescribed until at least two other antidepressants have failed to work for you.  I am making an appointment with a psychiatrist in the morning

Symbyax is the first drug approved by the FDA for the acute treatment of treatment-resistant depression.  It normally isn't prescribed until at least two other antidepressants have failed to work for you.  Your doctor probably feels you are depressed due to your circumstances, and this is why he gave you the samples.  I would want to know how long he plans on giving you samples if you have no income.  At some point you will have to buy them, and they may be quite expensive.  Hopefully by then, things will have improved for you in every way.  Take care....
