Wellbutrin and weight gain

I wastaking wellbutrin and then went off of it.  After a couple of months started back on it and have continually gained weight regardeless of diet or exercise.  Has anyone else experienced this?
I chose the topic of anxiety because you offered no topic for: depression, anti-depressants or weight management.

Hey Robyn, i am currently back on wellbutrin.  I was on it to help kick a tobacco habit, kicked the habit and gained weight, which was expected, then went off of wellbutrin.  After a few months of no antidepressant went back on to another antidepressant that didnt work at all.  I got back on wellbutrin and have managed to lose 42 lbs since the first of the year.  My diet and exercise routine are the key to weight loss and the initial weight gain.

Speak with your doctor about making some diet and exercise changes, have your thyroid looked at.  Try that and let me know whats happening.  Best of luck.

Hey there,
Many of us have experienced weight gain while taking antidepressants.  Seems to go with the territory for most.

We can support you here, but there are forums for 'Depression', and one for weight management ....in the Ws.     Best to you.
