I would ask a pharmacist what they think. My doc didn't recommend them to me, but she has told me of 2 OTC remedies to use for a different problem, so she is not against OTC if proven to work. Ergo, she doesn't think you should mess with OTC antidepressants.
As an example of how natural cures are not always safe, you can make natural herbal cortisol and drink it for sore joints but a physiotherapist told me there is nothing natural about self controlling your cortisol levels.
So, Birdie, you don't think those work to help?

Thank you for your responses. I've heard of the Sam-E and St Johns but wasn't sure how effective they were. I think I'm gonna try the Sam-E and see what happens..thx again.
Since OTC are not regulated there is no guarantee of purity, so your effects could yo-yo.
