Here's something to try! for a day try to log your thoughts. Not easy, but you'll soon detect a pattern & find that they are probably, almost certainly negative. If you accept that you are going to be fine in due course. Do all you can to avoid the negatives, accept challenges ~ make a list of your positives, you must have lots of them if you are honest with yourself. It's important that you think well of yourself, if not you can't get much further with turning your life around. Try to stay physically active, as well as maintaining a positive attitude. Perhaps you've given up on yourself, but that's unimportant as long as you don't quit in your efforts to get well & feel good again. I & lots of others have been through lots of meds/therapies/hospitals etc. But those that succeed are positive that they will be well again. Believe that & you will. Meds. are essential for me ~ maybe you too. The side effects may be less than welcome, but the benefits certainly are. Wish you the best of luck. Feel good soon. Don't quit. George

time passes and our experiences are the sum of us.  no matter what happens. . good or bad . .you will never be exactly how you used to be, whether you have depression or not!  I say this with love and concern for you and also empathy because I wish the same thing for myself - to be the way I was when i felt well.  but you can find new experiences to help you feel well again. It may not be as good as it was, but it can still be good to a point - sorry i'm being very philosophical!

go see your doc and are you in therapy.if not you need to get a therapist. Depression takes both therapy and meds to beat it.

I was wondering how long youve been on the meds.  If it has been a long time and they used to work, they could be pooping out.  Ive heard that happen to people and they have to change to something else.  If you just started the meds, then they probably havent kicked in yet.  I would ask my doc tho.
