i have been nauseaus as well and this is the 3rd day I have been off of it...just knowing these are normal withdrawl symptoms helps me understand what I am going through and it is comforting to know I am not the only one that has experienced this...thanks again for your responses!
Hi,
You can also search the topic here in the community now, it's relatively new. Over the box with "Recent activities" you can search for SSRI or Effexor.
I'm so glad you got a reply from one who's gone through cutting off of this medication!
Keep on weaning off slowly. Your body will have to get used to the change in Serotonin. Some will experience a bloodpressure drop, which maybe is a reason for your dizziness, while others will notice that their digestive system gets more upset. Having been on the Effexor for so long, you maybe need to discuss the weaning with your physician again and describe the withdrawal. Maybe your tapering should have been done slower?
I think I read somewhere that the "general tapering plan" for most drugs are -20% pr week.
Good luck! I hope you feel better soon!

I took effexor for awhile but had to go off of it because of high bp. The dr, wanted me to wean but i just quit ct. The dizziness will fade more each day i think it took me a week or so but after that i was fine.
