is it pre menapause or something else?

I had hysterectomy two years ago, all was taken except for my ovaries.  I always had slight bouts of anxiety and feelings of depression but nothing I could not fight off until recently my daughter broke up with her boyfriend I really liked for her and between that and issues with my husband I have been crying for two days.  I dont want to get out of bed and i feel like i am going nuts.  Could this all just be my hormones? I cannot believe this is happening.

Yep, it could be hormones.  I have cyclical anxiety each month as I approach full menopause.  It's like clockwork and I have insomnia, severe worry, racing thoughts and then I get the blues.  My doctor has told me this is quite common.

doesn't make it feel any better though.

They CAN treat it if it gets to be too bad.  As well as one can always do the things known to help lesson these feelings.  Stay active, exercise, yoga, journal, etc.

good luck and peace to you

I had my uterus out around 1998 and had no signs of menopause until two years ago. Since we don't have the cessation of our periods to alert us, the first signs tend to be hot flashes. It won't hurt to see your doctor but I would leans towards it not being hormonal.

Yes, it could be your hormones. Even though you have your ovaries they can quit producing hormones a couple of years after having a hysterectomy.
I would recommend getting in to see your Gynecologist to have your hormones tested and if they are low then talk to your Dr about hormone therapy.
