lexapro withdrawal

Hello,

My question may seem odd, but it is bothering me.  I have suffered some losses in the past week, have bot been able to sleep and have been very sad.  My doctor gave me a script for 10 mg of lexapro.  I have taken 2 doses of the drug and am having second thoughts about the need for such srong medication when in fact l am in grief and have never sufferred from depression in y life.  My questioin is, can l stop safely  after 2 pills..or  a need to taper?

Hi, I agree with remar, you will be fine if you stop the drug now.

I am so sorry for your loss, and grief does take its toll, but does not, in most cases, need anti depressants.  You can always go back to the doctor if it all gets too much.

Take care

Always ask your Dr first. But, in my opinion, you should be just fine since you've only taken two doses. I'm so sorry to hear about your loses. Grief is normal after a loss and does not always requite medication.
