There is no such thing as spanish fly. It is something sold in the back of magazines to get 16 year old boys to think it will get their girlfriends hot when really the boys are just nerds. LOL. I had trouble understanding all of your posts but I think you saying that sertraline has decreased your sexual desire. I am afraid that is a characteristic of most antidepressants. Some are worse than others. But let me just be totally honest. Would you rather be in bed crying all the time or would you rather have a slightly decreased sexual desire? I am a guy and it kinda makes it really hard to me to get there too. It affects women and men the same way. But I can promise you that lack of sexual desire is nowhere near as bad a problem as depression. Maybe you should just try to go through the motions of sex like I sometimes have to do and then you might find yourself getting a little more aroused. It is really bad to be expected to have sex when we don't feel like it but that is part of being in love with somebody. The first thing you should do is discuss these questions with your doctor. I promise they will not even flinch. They have heard everything. Believe me they have heard it all. The doctor will not even be slightly putt off by your question. I can give advice but I am not a doctor. Best of luck. I know it is tough. I am a 46 year old man and it hurts my sex life too. But it is better than depression.
I was on celexa and stopped for that reason. I'm 29 and should enjoy sex but at the time I just didn't want to. Now I'm looking at starting new meds cause I can't do this anymore depression itself has killed my desires.
a lot of meds will do that. i take this pill. it doesn't affect me. you could change pills. prozac destoyed my libido for many years ask your doctor ok :)
