Correction: ''GI bleedubg'' should read as ''GI bleeding''.
Either increases toxicity of the other by pharmacodynamic synergism. Increased risk of upper GI bleedubg. SSRIs inhibition serotonin uptake by platelets. Significant interaction possible. Monitor closely.
The answer is yes there is an interaction and yes her symptoms could be due to this interaction.

narla,
Don't feel stupid! It appears (according to my daily email) that this post originally was in MedHelp Social Community. Posts that are miscategorized are moved into the appropriate forum (and all responses go with them, so the entire thread remains together); it seems that this is what happened with this post. Your response made perfect sense in the context of the where the post originally appeared, and only seems confusing now that the post has been moved to the appropriate community.
In the future, if you see a post that you believe is posted in a form where it doesn't "belong," you can hover in the upper right hand corner of the post's box and will see a red triangle with an exclamation mark(!) and the word "report." When you hover your cursor over this, a drop-down menu appears. Go down to the word "Miscategorized" and click on that. It will alert the moderators to review the post and decide if it would fit better in a different forum; they can then move it to the appropriate forum if needed. This way the person who posted the question doesn't need to repost their question, creating a duplicate, and leaving the original "miscategorized" post in the forum where it may not "fit in."
On the other hand, there is nothing wrong with telling a poster how to find a more appropriate forum for their concerns, so no worries!!
:-)
Your mother would be fine, but you should address her fatigue and dizzinesss with her doctor as it may be resulting from the Effexor. Take care!
Sorry my mistake it is in the depression forum. Now I feel stupid.
You would probably get more answers for your question if you posted it in the depression forum, there are a number of people there that use effexor.Good Luck
