I have been on 20mg prozac and 15mg remeron and xanex as needed for 3 weeks I have been going back and forth from the cloud of depression to anxiety every other day. I think Im getting somewhat better. Do I need to give more time for the results Im looking for?

Prozac is a little slow getting up to speed, but if you feel your moods swinging, it's important to speak with your psychiatrist. Do you have one? If you don't, you should, they are experts in making a combination of drugs work optimally, as well talk therapy is as important as the meds.

I don't know anything about remeron, but prozac can take up to 6 weeks for the full effect. 20 mg is a pretty low dosage, it may need to be adjusted. Remember, the pills don't do it all, you need to try to have a positive outlook. In my opinion, if you think you feel better, then you probable are getting better. Hang in there!...cat
