need advice please

i have been on about 30 mg of prozac since march 2 a couple weeks ago dr had me up it to 40 then 50 mg,,i saw him yesterday and he wants me to stop it he placed me on wellbutrin sr on june 10th .i told him i want to taper off so he saif cut back 20 mg for three days and then 10 mg for 3 days...i feel this is too fast...i was a nervous wreck today cutting from 50 mg to 30 anyone have better taper advice

So i callled and told the nurse she called me back and said dr wants me to drop down to 10 mg,..forget that i was freaking from going to from 50 to30 im staying back on 50 till my vaation is over

Work closely with your doctor and if you feel he is tapering too fast, tell him this.  Let him know how you feel, this should alert him to the fact that the tapering may be too fast.

Prozac stays in your system for a long time. But if you feel withdrawal symptoms too troubling ask your doctor to reduce by smaller doses each week.
