Thank you just idea going bcd on paxil is killing me
My only advice is to keep working with your doctor. Maybe ask him to give you a medication to help the nausea and other side effects.
I have nausea for the last two days, my doctor i s telling me that what i should come back to 12.5 paxil & 5 mg lexparo and slowly she will lower teh paxil dosage, She is telling me that i have several withdraw effects from paxil. Any ideas
I herd that you have a lot of knowledge regarding this matter. Please read my profile. Maybe you will have any advise for me

Hello and welcome!
First, I'm so sorry you are going through this.
Unfortunately, Paxil has a reputation of being quite tough to come off, as you're finding out. I think for the majority of people who go through this, to this degree, they were just tapered too quickly. With these kinds of meds, the slower the better. I truly think the docs are going to eventually figure out that for some people, or certain meds...a very long, slow and deliberate taper is needed to minimize these kinds of symptoms. I'm talking like 6 months to a year, or longer.
I wish I had a more direct answer, but I think you're doing what you need to be doing, and that is working with your doctor. Hopefully, a fellow member named "Paxiled" will drop by. He went through the ringer with this drug. His horror story is actually very rare (so don't let that scare you) , but because he has endured so much, he is very knowledgeable about Paxil, and some approaches to relieving these kinds of symptoms.
Perhaps the Lexpro will eventually do the trick for you...you just probably need to slowly increase your dose, as you are exhibiting sensitivity to the side effects. Klonopin is most effective when dosed regularly versus "as needed". That may be something to discuss with your doctor. You may do better ditching the Lexapro all together, and staying on the Klonopin...either for a short term course of therapy (3 months or less)...or more long term. Long term benzo use always comes with some "cons", so all of that will need to be discussed with your doc.
I really hope you get some relief soon. Please update us!
