stopped pristique 100 mg a day withdrawls are terrible!!!

Has anyone else stopped pristique 100 mg and had withdrawls? If so can u please tell me how long they last and what ur withdrawl symptoms were? I'm suffering and its been 4 days since I stopped cold turkey!

My wife and I were both on Effexor years ago and we wanted to go off of it.  What we did was open the capsule and take less and less each day until we only took a few beads and then we were off.  If it is a pill break it in half and take that a few days, then a quarter and so on.  Of course, I am NOT a dr...this is how we weaned off of them

Pristiq is the same as Effexor.  You shouldn't stop either of these that way.  I was switched to Effexor and tapered and I'm still struggling.  Talk to your doctor.

Stopping these meds cold turkey is the worst thing you can do, and as a result are paying the price.  You should always work closely with your doctor as to how to wean yourself off slowly.  Call your doctor, he may want you to get back on them and then wean off slowly.
