symtoms of depression

often times i cant sleep and i cant think straight, whenever i get nervous ( even about little things ) my stomach acts up and i get a movment. I often sweat a night thinking about what could go wrong or what has already gone wrong. Most times i let alot of negativity take its toll on me and my body, which leads me to deep depression. My hair is constandly falling out in the shower and  sometimes i dont know why im depressed but i can still feel it inside of me. The surroings I'm around contribute to it but my family jumps all over me the moment i have soemthing to say. Sometimes i dont evenwant to go outside anymore, which leads to me eating heavily at all types of hours (day & night). Is there anything i can do to take this pain away?

Namaste,

There are various self-exams you can take to determine if you have depression.  One can be found at:

Although I don't put a lot of faith in self exams, from what you describe it is obvious that you need to seek the assitance of a professional mental healthcare worker who can take a complete psychological profile, make an evaluation and a diagnosis and then develop a treatment plan that may or may bot include the use of medication(s) and/or adjunct therapy.

Your lack of sleep also aggravates your condition, so take care of this as soon as possible. It'll get worse before it gets better.

hey, I know exactly how you are feeling.  This past year has been hard for me and sometimes it's really hard to ignore those thoughts and feelings that you are having.  This past year I went from numbing the pain with alcohol, and other various things.  I've been stressed, and usually bad stress can take a bad toll on your whole body.  It wasn't really till I had everything checked out at the local physician, that I realized it was anxiety, and depression related.  I never really felt depressed about anything, but I felt down about everything.  I can relate to you on all these levels, just try to do your best to manage your stress and keep interest in the things you love.  Go for Walks, jog, bike, whatever it takes!  And try to eat a healthy diet...that always helps too, it's taken me a long time to figure tha tone out myself.  If your doctor perscribes you meds, take them, but I really think you should consider also trying pshycotheraphy.  It's a way to get your feelings out, with a person with no biased beliefs about you, and it will probably bring the things to the surface which make you feel bad.  Best of Luck!

Possibly you are Anxious about your life at presant , are you at college or at work have you a problem there, ,is there someone you can talk to. If you have physical symptoms you could go to see the Doctor to rule out any problem ..Are you eating okay and healthy nourishing foods ,its easy to discount that and it is important to eat regularly and drink plenty of Liquids especially in the Summer.TRy not to think of stuff that can go wrong try the other way, what is going right, write down alol the good things in your life I bet you find a ton of them.
