Hi there, I've just come across your forum and over 2 years ago I changed from Paxil to Zoloft and have had no issues what so ever. The reason I changed was because we were ready to start a family and this was the only safe anti-depressant for pregnancy. However after 2 years and 7 months I am still not pregnant and am now doing IVF. None of specialist had any issue with me being on Zoloft and after all time I have now been on it, I'm fine. I think that it is not as effective as Paxil, as I only feel 80% happy rather than 90%, but having a family is too important to worry about 10%.
So best of luck and feel free to ask me any questions, I'm happy to help anyway I can.
Hi
I've been pregnant twice and both times went off my antidepressants because there is no real evidence that any are safe during pregnancy. My doctors said that if I could mentally go thru w/out them then that is what is best. Do you think that your niece could do that? When it came to my babies it was better safe than sorry. I immediatley went back on celexa the day I gave birth.
