ACCUTANE

Hi there.. I am currently on my way to the 2nd month of my Accutane course. I take 10mg 3x a day for my acne. On the first month, I was experiencing rashes at the back of my hands, dry lips, nose bleeds and other minor symptoms. But now, as I'm approaching my second month. I have these weird feeling in my stomach.. It is not painful in any way but it make me feel very uncomfortable. I feel full and it is always bloated. Should I be worried about this? Thanks.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
The symptoms can be due to GI side effects of Accutane. These include inflammatory bowel disease, pancreatitis, colitis, esophagitis/esophageal ulceration, ileitis, nausea, other nonspecific gastrointestinal symptoms. I suggest you to consult your doctor and discuss these side effects with your doctor.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
