Acne/Scarring on face from bear mace

Hello,

I was at a house party 2 years ago and some trouble makers came to the party and sprayed bear-mace everywhere. I was near the entrance and got sprayed by the bear mace at very close range. Ever since then I've had this acne on my face. I thought it would go away after some time like normal acne does, but it has persisted and never gone away since the incident occurred. I had minor acne before, but never this bad of an acne problem before the incident. I believe this to be some sort of scarring or something of the sort because it is in the same area and never goes away. Sometimes it becomes less visible and isn't so red but other times it flares up and is extra visible and is always in the same location. I don't have a family doctor, and the doctor at the walk-in clinic behaves like a self-righteous know it all who refuses to refer me to a professional skin care dermatologist but also has not helped my treatment improve in any way. :/

I don't know what else to do besides ask for help from the online communities.
