"BACKNE" and blemishe's

Alright, so I have always had a fair amount of backne. It gets worse and it gets better every month or so. Sometimes I have none, others I have huge bumps that are typically under the skin and never the typical white head. Anyway my two questions are 1) Any idea why I have backne and not so much other acne? Something I eat? Hair products I use? I've been told many a thing..( Other acne is 95 percent caused by hair follicles if I get it on my face rarely, or on my chest by hair follicles) # 2) Lately, I have noticed if I picked the acne or forcefully popped it, and/or used some sort of "on the spot" over the counter acne cream, I noticed that it turns pink, i.e. I have no pigment where this zit used to be. I think it has some correlation to the sun, as I have been outside tanning quite often. But these past two weeks I have barely been outside, and still have these pink spots. Is it because the skin came off and needs to be tanned by the sun since I have not been out at the pool lately? Or is it from this cream possibly? Thanks Guys or Doc, whomever :)

Hi,
Acne is a common inflammatory skin disease characterized by pimples on the face, chest, and back. It occurs when the pores of the skin become clogged with oil, dead skin cells, and/or bacteria.

The area that is likely to be affected in an individual depends almost entirely on his/her genetic predisposition.
Dietary factors and personal care products that you use could be partly responsible, but their exact role is not known.

Infection results when a plugged follicle is invaded by Propionibacterium acnes, a bacterium that normally lives on the skin, and possibly other microorganisms. The bacteria produce chemicals and enzymes that bring on inflammation. Pimples are the result of infected blackheads or whiteheads that rupture, releasing sebum, bacteria, dead skin, and white blood cells onto the surrounding tissues.

When you pick on the lesions before they heal, the skin below is not ready to be exposed to the surface. This causes the pink spots which will need time to gat pigmented. You cannot accelerate this process by applying anything.

You should not be popping the pimples but if you do, then you need to apply an antibiotic cream on the areas to prevent secondary infection and worsening of the pimples.
