Can a blood clot cause toenail fungus and deformed toenails?

In 2014 i was involved in a head on collision with a semi. I shattered my knee cap so then stitched it all back together. Well I ended up with blood clots behind my knee. Ever since then I have noticed my leg and foot have never been the same color or shape as before the accident. Any ideas?

It's normal to experience changes after an accident of that magnitude, but this is something that a doctor should be working with you on- did you ever follow up with a physical therapist?  Do you see any doctors about this?
