Does this look like a skin cancer ?

I have non-refundable tickets and hotel reservation to go to Hawaii in a few days, but just noticed today this on the upper part of my left cheek (see attached photo). Does this look like a cancer ? Should I cancel my trip ? I cannot schedule an appointment with a dermatalogist before the trip, so now I have to weigh losing money and vacation versus possibility that this is a cancer (so I should not go to sunny places like Hawaii). I am a female 63yo.

Any help will be greatly appreciated !

Those look a lot like scabs, maybe you should take a picture from the side.

I think they approved the image, it should be visible now.

I attached an image, but it says "Photo pending admin approval", so may be the image still not visible to you. I an see it, though.

I think the lesions appeared just 1 or 2 days ago, when I had this cheek exposed to sun for long time, and it burnt slightly. I am pretty sure I did not have them before.

Once you see the image, the lesion on the right is 3.7 mm long, just to give an idea about the scale.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,

There is no attached image with your post.

For how long have you been having this condition?

What made you think that this is skin cancer? Is there any aspect of your history that points towards this?

Lesions ( allow me to call them lesions) in sun exposed areas such as the face and extremities with certain character changes such as recent pain, bleeding, discoloration and itchiness may require further evaluation.

I understand you are very concerned about this. I suggest that you seek consult with your  physician so you may have this assessed early on. I know you are looking forward to this trip. If this has been present for quite sometime, is there any recent change to the lesion that warrants any immediate attention?

If there are any changes as mentioned above, then I suggest that you have this assessed. It will give you peace of mind. I do not think you have to cancel your trip just for this assessment. Talk to your doctors with regards to this and your travelling plans also.
