It sounds like you have a very difficult issue on your hands. As many have eluded to already there seems to be an abundance of methods to tackle eczema with some more fruitful than others.

You may have heard of a few natural methods which are starting to become increasingly popular of late, one of which was tried by a family member. We were all really pleased to see very favourable results over a long term and so its something i thought i would mention in the hope that you may find it beneficial.

It took a long time to find a safe source to obtain a reliable information from but the best website i have come across to date is a review website: www.doctorzreview.co.uk I really hope this is somewhat useful!

Best of luck and i hope your nephew gets well soon!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
I can see that the eczema is severe enough. Kenalog is a high potency steroid and can be used but in topical form. Kenalog shots can also provide symptom relief but it is not without side effects the chief one being indentation at the site of injection.

In most cases of eczema no one treatment will be effective. Medical research shows that the most effective treatment plan for eczema involves using a combination of therapies to treat the skin and making lifestyle changes(prevention of triggers and application of lots of moisturizers) to control flare-ups. If the eczema is more severe, phototherapy (a type of treatment that uses light therapy) or systemic (circulates throughout the body) medication like oral steroids may be prescribed.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
