Facial Skin Problem

It started when i went to the dermatologist for a bit of acne. He prescribed me atleast 5 different topicals (e.g. Clindoxyl gel) My skin didn't react well with benzoyl peroxide so he had me do a test and it came up that there was bacteria growing on my skin so he prescribed the doxycycline. 2 weeks later he tells me it's not bacteria and prescribes me clindasol cream. Month later it had no effect on me so he got me on accutane, I had no drug plan so money came out of my pocket i sold personal things of mine to get this "miracle" drug. 2months after my skin looks really red and irritated but acne is gone. After he told me it would go away i waited 4months and waiting still for this to go away. I am trying to do research on what this is everyone tells me different stuff and i really want to find a cure and have my skin back before i started accutane.

It has ruined my social life and i want to get to the bottom of this, i can't see a dermatologist for another month and now i'm ending up with depression

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Redness after accutane is very normal. It usually takes several months before it starts to go away. Nothing is to be done except for washing your face with a mild soap like Dove or Cetaphil and applying a non perfumed mild hypoallergenic moisturizer.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
