Geographical tongue???

Hey there. I have red flat lesion looking patches  occuring for the last 2 years.
It starts off in the back as my tongue and the front left area of my tongue.  These patches are red and smooth.  No papillea. Some of my papillea in the back of the tongue are raised and larger than others.
The patches from the back and front of my tongue end up fusing together after few days. Ive been told i have geographical tongue.. However.  My patches are always on the same area.
