Hi,
Over the past few months I have noticed that I have a small crater like hole on the palm of my hand. The best way I can describe it is it looks like I stabbed myself with the tip of a pen on the palm of my hand and the indentation (stab hole per se) stayed. It doesn't necessarily cause me any pain but if I press down on the small hole I feel slight pain around it. It doesn't seem to get any bigger but the pain freaks me out a bit. Any insight would be much appreciated.

What you may be having is palmar pit and there is a connection between palmar pits and dupuytren’s contracture. In this there is an abnormal thickening of the palm of the hand. The first sign of Dupuytren’s disease is usually a small lump or pit in the palm especially near the base of finger.

You should get it evaluated from a dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis.
