Red bumps

Hello doctor,
I've never had sex, but, since like 3 years ago, I've had this red bump on the underside of my penis head...
Is it a genital warts?

I don't know what to do...please help doctor...

Thank you,

Paul

Hello doctor,
Thank you for your comment...
But, the bump does not cause irritation in any way...
And I'm circumcized...

So, what could that narrow down to be?
And is there any way that I can treat it? Or do I have to go see a doctor?

Thank you,
Paul

Hi,
It could be balanitis which is inflammation of the glans(head) penis.Lack of aeration and irritation because of smegma and discharge surrounding the glans penis causes inflammation and edema.
Smegma is a combination of exfoliated (shed) epithelial cells, transudated skin oils, and moisture, and can accumulate under the foreskin of males.Smegma is noticeable as a smooth or moist texture until it is allowed to accumulate, when it takes on its characteristic texture which can irritate the hlans.
Preventing accumulation is best done by rinsing the area with warm water and soap if you are not allergic to it.
Yeast is another common cause for balanitis. It is ttreated with anti-fungal crems like Monistat applied to the area affected.
