I hope that you can help please. What has happened to me, happened after one specific incidence of using swimming goggles.
I used them four times in eight days for thirty minutes a time. It was fine until the last time that I used them. They kept leaking so I adjusted them. I got out of the pool and I noticed indentations under my eyes, particularly on one side. I also noticed darkness of the areas where the indentations are. Part of the indentation plumped up later that day but this was on the part closer to the upper part of my cheek. I am 45 years of age and have up until now been considered to look younger than my years, so this is a bit of a blow to my confidence.
It is four weeks since this has happened and the indentations and darkness look the same. If it is possible (as my experience shows it to be) for this process of what may be called 'fat herniation' to occur, like this, I would like to know what I can expect in terms of improvement. Then I can either; relax and wait for it to improve, do something about it, or learn to accept it.
Without any loss of fat, there cannot be indentations which are permanent. Take rest adequately and eat healthy nutritious food containing lots of green vegetables. Try to avoid caffeine, because it promotes water retention and leads to the dryness of the eye. You should also apply almond oil or skin creams containing vit C or K,alpha hydroxyl acids and kinetin.
If the symptoms persist then please get an evaluation done from a dermatologist.
