Itchy red rash on neck

First it started with small red bumps like small mosquito bites on my neck and then my neck started turning red as it started to spread. It is very itchy and has a burning sensation. I think it might be some kind of allergic reaction.
Does anyone know what this could be and when will it go away?

Well, it could be an allergic reaction as you say.  Seeing a doctor may be the best thing to do.  Hives?  Would an antihistamine (OTC) help you?  Might be worth a shot or OTC Cortaid.  But getting it officially diagnosed is best and try your best not to itch.
