Lip bump

Hello,

I have a question about a bump on my lower lip. I fall on the ground and half of my incisor was broken and stuck on my lower lip. That was why I underwent a small sugery to get it out. After the surgery, I have a big bump on the surgery site. It has been more than 8 years now but the bump still exists. It deforms my lower lip everytime I speak. I was just wondering if there is any way I can make the bump go away. Thank you for your attention!

Sincerely,
Aja

I had dry lips and peeled the skin off after a few days I got a very smal bump that was white pink I put Vaseline on it and it started to go away it didn’t hurt or turn any color now it’s gone so now I have a mark of where the dry skin was on the top off my lip it did come back for one day when I itiched the area but it left right after now I’m fine but I wonder what it was it didn’t turn yellow or leave a scab it just came and left.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It can be a hypertrophic scar or keloid ( less chances from the site). The other possibility is of a hematoma formation after the surgery. Hypertrophic scars are not dangerous and improve with age but keloid scars can itch or become irritated if they grown in size and show some rubbing with the clothes. I suggest you to consult a dermatologist and take a second opinion to confirm the diagnosis.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
