Penis/urethra itch, redness

I'm a 40 year old uncircumsized male.  Previously two years ago had some kind of yeast infection or yeast allergy under my foreskin that caused redness, swelling, and scaling - was cured using Loprox.

A few weeks ago I thought it had come back, with an itchy urethra, redness, etc. and tried loprox again but still there.  Could it be just irritation or does the urethral itching point to something else?

Hello!  looking at your picture is like looking at my penis 2 years ago. Ok I had the same redness in my penis head and at the same place that shows the picture for 1.5 years. Many doctors, medications, creams, home remedies, spent so much money and nothing cured the irritation. Finally went to an urologyst and told me I suffered from recurrent balanophostitis (balanitis is irritation of the glans and phostitis is inflammation of the foreskin) due of a fungus inffection. I'm a very clean man, but the foreskin makes the perfect condition for fungus to grow in certain men cus of the moist and warm condition. This doctor suggested me to circumsice my penis. I thought it for a long time until I decided to go for it. Believe me this was the end of the redness and irritation. 6 months since the surgery and the redness cleared right away. Best thing to do is to make an appointment with an urologyst. This worked for me. Ra

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms it can be contact dermatitis, eczema or balanitis penis. Oral course of antibiotics is needed. In addition, please don’t use any cosmetics on the penis, instead use some topical antimicrobials like Bacitracin or Lotrimin.

Also retract the foreskin daily and soak in warm water to clean penis and foreskin. In case the symptoms persist then please consult a urologist/dermatologist for evaluation and antimicrobials and steroids prescription.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
