Pharmacs agains skin infection caused by ingrown nail

I have my right toe-thumb bigger, almost 1.5-2 times, than the left one. I think it was caused by a ingrown nail(now cured) that left an infection on the skin since many months. Now the nails is okay with its own natural color but it still makes skin on the edge and the toe-thumb is bigger, like there is pus, an infection below the skin. I have not consulted a podologist but  I bought this pharmac: "Tyrosur Wundheilgel 5g". Is this pharmac a good cure? How long should I use it before I noice effects?
I am also interested in your opinion and/or your suggestion for a better pharmac.

Are you experiencing any pain?  Is it just the size you are concerned about?  From your description, it doesn't sound like there is a condition going on that needs treated.  If you have an infection inside your toe, you are going to have some pain- and that should be addressed, but it's pretty normal for our bodies to not be perfectly even on each side.

I have a slight pain when I press it or when I walk. As far as I can remember, I noticed it got bigger when I had the ingrown nail which I had it for a long time. What is the worst and best that can happen if I use that pharmac? I never had allergies
There really isn't a risk in using it, that I would be aware of- but I'm not certain it would help much, if the wound isn't an open wound.  If there is pain, I'd recommend seeing a doctor- it could be that there is something going on with the ingrown nail still- but not sure the ointment will really address it.
How are you doing?  Were you able to get to a doctor and did they have anything to help?
