Purple pustules on trunk and upper thigh

Hi,

3 weeks ago I noticed two oval, purple pustules measuring approximately 4mm x 3mm my upper left thigh. The inside of the ovals were filled with purple blood; eventually they came to a whitehead and burst leaving some marking. A similar oval has appeared overnight on my trunk. The ovals do not burn or itch.

I am not on any medications. I have recently been cleared for HSV, HPV, HIV. I do not have any allergies that I know of.

Any thoughts on what this may be?

Thanks for the quick response. No, I have not had any other symptoms. The lesion is slightly raised from the skin, not flat. They do not blanch when I press on them. I had not actually seen them burst except when I press them, they deflate, so to speak.

They look at lot like this: http://www.waent.org/picture_of_the_month/tongue_blood_blister-1200.jpg but smaller, under more layers of skin, and obviously not on my tongue.

Hi,

How are you? Are there other symptoms present? It is good that you have been cleared with HSV, HPV and HIV.Can you elaborate more on the bursting of fluid part?  Though it is difficult to diagnose the lesion without actual examination, this could be a purpura. It is caused by ruptured blood vessels under the skin. It appears as red, pinpoint, purple or blue colored  flat spots. It does not blanch when you press on them and they are completely flat. This could be a sign of bleeding or infection. It would be best if you have this evaluated further for proper diagnosis. Take care and keep us posted.
