Hi,
Im currently abroad and cant get to a doctor. Basically about a week ago i noticed this line of raised bumps along my labia minoria near the opening of the vagina, they do not hurt and is only itchy at times but are very unsightly. They are rough to touch but are in a continuous line along the opening..I am hoping to rule out genital warts as i have a partner and we were both checked in january and were clear.
Then to make things more worrying from my vagina to my anus is a red, flakey rash which has developed. It almost looks like its burnt and peeling?
I have just started a new pill, and have been in and out of the pool? Not sure if these could be reasons of it flaring up? I just want to know what it is as I am worried it is something serious and I am here for another 10 days and its ruining my holiday!!!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It looks like chafing skin and irritated hair follicles causing folliculitis rather than yeast infection. Chafing occurs when the skin becomes irritated by the friction caused by rubbing either against other skin or against a foreign material. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. Also wear cotton undergarments. Application of mild corticosteroid cream and oral antiinflammatories like ibuprofen/acetaminophen are also helpful. If the symptoms are severe then it will be best to consult a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
