Dermatology Question

So, a few weeks ago I noticed a red blotch or patch form on/under my lip after having a glass of wine. I brushed it off thinking either it was my psoriasis coming back or a bad reaction...however there was a sore on the inside of my lip parrallel to the patch on the outside the spot has stayed there for weeks...it disappeared for a few days and I suddenly got a horrible cold sore in the exact spot.

Went to the DR he said I have cold sores/impetigo...but the red spot was gone so I never got a DX as to what it could have been. Now that the cold sore has subsided I’m noticing the red patch is back, and there is also a red patch on my vagina.

I’m taking VALTREX, and an antibiotic ointment for the cold sore/impetigo. Minocycline for my acne (been taking for 9mo)

What on earth could this be? Is it a fungus? Yeast infection on face? I have noticed that drinking caused the patch to appear at first...then reappear. Is it the alcohol?

Have you ever had a reaction to alcohol like that before?  You mentioned you went to the doctor, but sounds like the sore wasn't there when they examined you?  I'd head on back to the doctor if it's reappeared so they can take another look- if a problem persists that you have been to the doctor for, don't hesitate to go back and let them know so they can continue to work on a solution for you.

No I’ve never had a reaction to alcohol like that before. And I’m not drinking a ton either so idk what it is? And yes the red patch had disappeared when I went to the doctors. Thanks!
