Red patches

I sometimes get these red patches that show up on random spots on my skin and then fade away, is it a vitamin deficiency?

No Investigation or anything just when i take the vitamin it helps..... i was doing the south beach diet for a while and doing phase 1 for longer than the 2 weeks... i was tested for hiv and diabetes and i came back fine.  I have oral thrush(started on easter sunday) then when it did not go away in 2 weeks i went and got medication for it and well its not as bad but it hasnt gone away yet, they did not culture it , they just said thats what it was. Also back in december i had a yeast infection somewhere else and well i was given zithromax and i had an allergic reaction to it so thats why i think i got the first one and then in february i got really sick with being super dizzy and a cold  and i was given nasonax and it did not help so i stopped using that and then in march the oral thrush appeared after i drank a lot the night before for my birthday. I do not drink a lot only on special occasions and now i am thinking i shouldnt drink at all b/c i can not drink light beer without getting drunk super fast. I dont like to drink either.

Doc. Said it was a vitamin deficiency, cause i do not eat enough B6 or B12 vitamins, so i was getting bruised easier and have long lasting pressure marks, so i need to remember to take a multivitamin.  He said it was the blood vessels underneath my skin that are becoming unstable because they do not have the vitamin and then bursting causing the bruise.

Hi,

You could take some oral antihistamine or antiallergic medications like loratadine or cetrizine and see if it helps with your symptoms. Apply calamine lotion at the site of the lesions to help soothe the itching.

Have you had allergic reactions in the past? Are you allergic to any specific substances?

You would still need to consult your doctor about the associated symptoms you are having and to rule out any vitamin or mineral deficiency or bacterial or fungal infection or insect bite and whether you need a course of antibiotics or other medications.

Let us know about how you are doing and post us about what your doctor advises.

Regards.
