Round blue mark on upper lip

I have round bluish mark on my upper lip, probably midway from the top of my lip and inside my mouth.  It is located on the right hand side of my mouth.  It is beneath the skin, not raised, no blister etc.  I noticed about a week ago, and nothing has come from it.  I faintly remember biting my lip awhile back, but really cant be sure of that.  Could this be just a bruise, or what else?  Should i go to a dermatologist or just my pcp?  Thanks for help.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It looks like a small hematoma formed on the lip due to biting of the lip. Apply warm compresses and take some anti inflammatory drug like Ibuprofen after consulting your doctor. If the symptoms persist then get an examination done from a dermatologist and get venous lake ruled out.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
