See My Profile Pic - White Patchy Skin on My Arms - Help, Please!

(See My Profile Pic) Large White Patches On My Arms, nowhere else. Yes, I'm an idiot and I tanned in a bed & will never again. Last month my arms did get a little red after a weekend in the sun, and I have read posts about 'trauma to the skin' from such an instance. I've also read about this being linked to tanning beds, but only in discussions on small white polka dot-like spots caused by a fungus. These are patchy (see my profile pic). I can't tell, but exfoliating with sea-salt scrub may be making them more prevalent or visible.  I'm going to be on TV & in tons of pictures for my job and look like a leopard (not in a good way). Of course, I am concerned about the health of my skin & not just vanity.  Last year, I went to my dermatologist to look at a mole and got a $500 bill so that's not my first option right now. Please tell me how I can even out my arm-skin again! Thank you.

Thank you. I will buy Selsun Blue today like I've read about and give it a go.

If it's a fungus, I do not think it will even out until next summer.  That's what I remember the doc telling me when I got a patch when I was in my 20s and she said it was a fungus.  I had to treat it with an antifungal.  If it's just from peeling, then the darker skin should lighten in time.
