Strange freckle pattetn on back of right shoulder.

I've had a strange light freckle-like pattern on the back of my right shoulder for a few years. Its been hard to track any possible changes with the pattern of the freckles because of its location--it would obviously be hard to see. I'm concerned because some of the freckles are large and overlap. Where they overlap they are darker in color. None of the spots are raised or bulbous, but most of them are irregularly shaped. As far as I can tell, the large group of freckles have not spread in the last 2 or 3 years. They are ever present, through all the seasons, with sun exposure and without. They don't itch, or peel, or bleed. Should I be concerned? Are they really freckles or possibly something else?

Though age spots are very common in adults older than age 40, they can affect younger people as well.

Would you know if its common for someone under 30 to have solar lentigos? Vitiligo also runs in my family, though it has skipped me, could it be related to these lentigos in any way?
