I am past menopause and this started about 5 years ago. Sometimes it is worse than others, but always there! Like you I get plenty of sleep and eat right. I just want to know why it happened!
I have found my dark eyes (inner area as you all have said)is directly linked to my food intolerances, these can sometimes be difficult to pin down as they may not give you specific problems like rashes etc but you may get things like tiredness, headaches, joint pains. The only sure way of finding out is doing an elimination diet but this is quite hard unless you are dedicated to it, The other thing you can do is firstly eliminate all the artificial preservatives in your diet (E200's) and the common triggers. Drink plenty of water.
I wish I had an answer because it is now happening to me. I have the dark area between my eyes and nose. Help!
I am dealing with the same thing too. The corner of my eyes, between the nose and eye are dark and sunken in looking. But Ive been dealing with terrible headaches, and a sore throat. Im so tired feeling,it hurts between my eyes. It might be allergies, idk.
Hi,
Dark circles under the eyes are most often caused by allergies, illness, a lack of sleep, or heredity. If your dark circles are caused by heredity, you may find that they are almost impossible to completely eliminate.
In the morning, wash your face with cold water to help blood vessels constrict. Then, apply an eye cream that contains Retinol and vitamin K. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables to prevent the vitamin deficiencies that can affect your skin’s appearance. Reducing your salt intake will also help improve the look of your skin. One treatment is to massage almond oil with honey around the eyes before going to bed.

If you’re feeling very self-conscious about dark circles under your eyes, you can try to use makeup to help camouflage the problem.
