The cause of permanent eyebrow & eyelash loss?

hiya! i lost all eyelashes and brows about 25 years ago. at 14 years old my eyelids and brow areas became very red, swollen, and itchy. this lasted about 3-4 weeks. parents didn't take to doctor. i didn't scratch much at all but lashes and brows ALL fell out, and they never grew back. i've had to draw them on for decades now. won't get the tattoos.

DR a few years back said Alopecia, but i have a very full head of hair and i'm not sure that's it. i had multiple steroid injections in the brows by a Dermatologist. this did absolutely  nothing except leave unsightly depressed areas in the skin that took weeks to go away.
any ideas on what could've caused them to permanently fall out?
would Latisse or Revitalash help at all? i've read that these can be applied to the brow area too?

any advice appreciated!! thanks

"In this there is hairfall of scalp as well as eyebrow and eyelashes. "

thank you. but as i stated, there is NO loss of scalp hair, or hair anywhere else on the body. just eyelash & eyebrow. i have a full head of hair.

"so hair transplantation is the best treatment option."

they can transplant eyelash & eyebrow hair?? i did not know that was even possible. Googling it now. but there is none of these prescription or non-script ointments that will help me?? thanks again!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It looks like alopecia totalis. In this there is hairfall of scalp as well as eyebrow and eyelashes. The cause is stress or some autoimmune disease. Since it happened years ago, so hair transplantation is the best treatment option.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
