I am 41 years of age. I had a total hysterectomy in October 2012 with everything taken out. I was forced into surgical menopause and have chosen to deal with the symptoms over HRT.
Since surgical menopause, I have had bad issues with my skin... thinning it seems, hives out of nowhere happen, dryness, red spots, etc.
Something weird happen just now... I was leaning on my arm while studying something on the computer and looked up at my forearm (inner) and there's two purple-like bruises instantly on them. Not super big, not pin-pricks but little bruise like dots or small circles. This was literally brought on by LEANING on my forearm.
I am freaked, I don't know what this is.
Weirdly enough, I just had a blood draw and cat scan done last week:
1. Complete blood count, entirely normal, including platelets being 100% normal.
2. Comprehensive Metabolic Panel, entirely normal
3. Sed Rate, 23 but I run an ever so slightly higher sed rate and actually, my sed rate was 30 back in January which was probably related to the hysterectomy. So it has gone down.
4. Cat scan of abdomen and pelvis, entirely normal.
If my platelets are fine and no sign of a bad white count, what could be causing this and is it related to surgical menopause somehow since I am suffering with other skin issues as well?
This literally was brought on by pressure on my arm!
Thanks.
