Warts Spreading.

I had a wart on my finger, and I have had it for awhile (4-8) months and I just started to put some wart removal cream on it.  Today, I noticed that some of my skin was peeling off, so I just peeled the rest of it off and and part of the wart.  I was wondering if this is going to spread to other parts of my body or will it just stay in that one part.  I was just wondering because I did shave today and did not know if it would spread.

Hello,
For these warts, several medications (like podophyllum resin, Podofilox (Condylox), Trichloroacetic and bichloroacetic acids, Imiquimod 5% cream and interferons) are available, which can be applied directly to the surface of the warts. Other treatment options include electrical cautery, surgical removal, Carbon dioxide laser treatment and electrodesiccation.

In my opinion you should talk to a cosmetologist/dermatologist about this and get these warts evaluated.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Thanks, it is still on my finger but I decided to buy some medicine to burn it off.  However, I am not having much luck with that.

Hello,
Warts can spread from one part of body to another by touch but this is ore when there is presence of some active lesions. Since you had peeled off the wart chances of spread are less likely.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Just wondering if this contagious to the rest of my body, since I have some small cuts on my fingers and face from shaving.
