What is the best over the counter drug for acne ?

I've been using Benzac Facial Wash( Benzoyl Peroxide 5% ) for 2 yrs , it was great for me because oiliness was reduced and the growth of pimples was stopped. But unfortunately its Company (Galderma) stopped distributing it in the Philippines. I've tried PanOxyl Bar ( Benzoyl Peroxide 5% ) and PanOxyl Soap Free Cleanser , but the results didn't satisfy me as how Benzac did . my question is , what other Benzoyl Peroxide soaps can you recommend? because Acnes are not only pain in the eyes but also pain in the ***

hi there! you can try the one i am using.. got acne last jan to june 2013, for first time in my life! I count them daily and the last time I knew there was 63 of it all over my face, so big that my daughter would say eiiw.. I tried different cleansing and creams, common brands from PH but did not work, got worse i think. but now my face is clear, no traces of acne, no blemishes at all. the one im using is imported, has whitening effects too. got rid of the acne within 2 weeks, then few more days to clear the spots/peklat. i wish i could have taken photos of me when i had acne on so i can show you the difference. my bf often ask if i have been treated by a derma. nooooo..

i can give you a sample of it, ill put it in a container and send to you. maybe you can purchase from me when you need more? please note that i am not authorize to resell it but was thinking maybe this can a be a little source of income to support my family. 2 of my friends are using it now too, has reordered 2x. also, please note that what works for me may not work for you.

but its worth to try.. :)

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
You can use any benzoyk perocide soaps available in the market, common ones being Jan marini benzoyl peroxide or Topic benzoyl peroxide soap. Other treatment options include topical and oral antibiotics, topical retinoids, hormonal therapy, dermabrasion , phototherapy and laser resurfacing. Normally a combination of treatments is followed and if nothing proves effective then dermabrasion and laser therapy are useful. You can discuss these treatment options with your dermatologist.

Most important is to keep you face clean by washing with a mild soap atleast twice a day. Pat it dry and do not rub it. Avoid picking or pressing the acne.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
