Hi,
The Bartholin's glands are located on each side of the vaginal opening. These glands secrete fluid that helps lubricate the vagina. Sometimes the openings of these glands become obstructed causing fluid to back up into the gland, resulting in relatively painless swelling called a Bartholin cyst. A Bartholin's cyst is not an infection, although it can be caused by an infection, inflammation, or physical blockage to the Bartholin's ducts. If infection sets in, this results to a Bartholin's abscess. If the infection is severe or repeated a surgical procedure known as marsupialization may be required to stop further recurrences.
It would be best to have it evaluated by your gynecologist. Take care and regards.
Have you had any of the previous boils checked by a doctor? If you have reoccuring boils in the area, it could very well be staff, especially if they hurt, have pus and blood come out once it is opened. This particuliar one does not hurt. It could have turned into a cyst, therefore you can't get anything out of it. They become solid and have to be opened by a doctor. You need to have them swabbed to check for type and then the dr will know what ant-biotic to give you. When staff is not analized for type, it is like a shot in the dark with the which one to use. If you get the right anti-biotic, you shouldn't get them anymore. Wish you the best RJ
