chronic insomnia ruined my skin and my life, how can i undo it?

I had a 3 month long stretch of *severe* insomnia when I was 16. My skin and my face took on a very sickly/anemic/ugly/unsavory look that everyone from my girlfriend to my grandparents could agree was a major change for the worse (my girlfriend dumped me quick). My life's been really bad since this happened. It's been over 10 years now and I never regained my former good looks. I've read somewhere that a similar thing occurs to meth addicts. I'm not a meth addict, but it was from the story about meth addiction that I learned that prolonged chronic insomnia can have an effect on the skin.

My question is, is there now or will there be any time in the near future  a way to undo or repair some of the skin damage that occurred?

I should also note that I was struggling with anorexia during this period as well, which might be similar to the malnourishment meth addicts experience.

Just to clarify a few things, I am not a meth addict, I no longer struggle with anorexia, and I have been at or above a healthy weight always for the last 10 years. I've also had no problems with insomnia for 10 years (thanks to medication).

It didn't change "over the years", it changed very rapidly over the course of less than 3 months. Also, as I said, I haven't had problems with insomnia for over a decade.

Thanks very much for your reply, but did you actually read most of my post?

Biosil and biotin are excellent for skin, hair, and nails. You should consider that one's looks can change over the years, having nothing to do with illness - simply maturity. As for your girlfriend dumping you because you were no longer handsome, I should not consider that a loss on your part.

I do sympathize with your problems with insomnia. I am a long sufferer and it takes the joy out of life.
