cuts and bruises

I am 30/Male...For the past year, I have been having annoying problems with my penis, when ever I have sex with my pathner, during sex, I can actually feel myself in a little pain and after sex, I notice I have all these cuts and bruises on the tip of my penis. I am very worried about this. I have visited a doctor before, but it seems like he does not know what he is doing. after a day or so, the tip of the penis is swolen and makes it hard for me to urinate because it burns and if I shower, I cannot pull the skin back. After 2 or 3days, it is healed and then when I have sex again, the same thing happens. do you think I need to get circumcised? what causes this problem? I had sex 2days ago and the tip of my penis is still swolen and it hurts badly. what can I do?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi

This may be a case of balanitis. Balanitis is not necessarily a sexually transmitted disease rather it may involve a fungal infection, dermatitic skin condition or even psoriasis. Uncircumcised males have increased risk of acquiring balanitis than circumcised males. Sexual activity may aggravate your condition. If this is the case, you may need topical antifungals for this. Abstain from any sexual activity until this condition has resolved.
