plantar wart treatment by MD

I'm moving to a community which doesn't have a dermatologist.  Can a family practice physician treat plantar warts just as a dermatologist can?   thanks for any and all help

Ive had them myself and compound W  can really get rid of them. Just place the medicated pad over it and in about 2 days the acid has dissolved it and pops up leaving a hole. Really great stuff.

Are you sure they were plantar warts, instead of "normal" warts?  I tried the Compound W liquid application route myself, for about 12 weeks.  I was pretty good about following the instructions.  However, at the end of that time (as recommended on the label), I still had the warts.  Perhaps they were slightly smaller, or hadn't grown during the treatment, but I was pretty bummed that it didn't get rid of them.  I may try the pads instead.....

Thanks, 360!  I suspected as much, but didn't know if they might defer to a dermatologist for plantar wart removal by freezing/surgery....
