rashes on testicle

Hi,

My baby is 5 months old. he had nappy rash initially. For last few weeks i observed him pulling  his testicles. And I can see little discolored rashes on his testicle. Since he is too young i m little concerned to apply anything.
Pleas advice.

I had c-section and i too feel itchy around veginal area. Does this causing him such rashes? i m breast feeding him during night. Day time we are giving milk from dairy (not formula) .

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Shailaja

Hi,

Thanks for your sugestion. The red rashes appear n goes off. I saw same rashes appearing/disappearing on his cheeks as well. I think its sort of alergy.

But my condition is worsening day by day. Itcy vaginal area + red itchy dry patches on feet.
i feel hard skin initially, then it breaks and area become dry and itcy. I cannot wear shows for long. I had this problem for some time before my pregnancy and it disappeared after some time. Post delivery this problem is appearing again.
I am not using any faminine dourches. No bubble bath.

Regarding vaginal itch, my gyne asked me to use external ointment application. But that
doesn't helped much.

I am very much worried. I am undergoing homeopathy treatment but doctor doesn't name this diseas. Please help.

Thanks,
Shailaja

Hello,

These rashes on the testicles of your child could be diaper rashes, contact dermatitis, sweat dermatitis or eczema.

Wash the area at rehular intervals and then apply good quality hypoallergenic moisturizer on it.Application of calamine lotion also provides a soothing effect on the skin. You should choose mild soaps without dyes or perfumes and use a mild, unscented laundry detergent when washing clothes, towels and bedding.

Itching around your vaginal area does not seen to be having any relation to the rashes of your baby.Pls keep your vaginal area clean and avoid any feminine douches. Also get yourself evaluated for any genital infections or contact dermatitis.
If the rashes of your baby persist, then it will be best to have them evaluated by a dermatologist.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep us posted if you have any additional queries.
